The theater of Villefranche boasts of a magnificent 650-seat theatre which hosts several different programmes throughout the year (theatre, circus, dance, music, shows for young audiences, etc.).
As a state-approved theatre, the Theater of Villefranche's mission is to support artistic creativity, stage performances and cultural activities aimed at making performing arts known to as many people as possible.
Since 2005, the theatre has been hosting the festival of contemporary music entitled Nouvelles voix en Beaujolais every third week of November.
