Beaujolais - Between vineyards and forests - Loop 5.3

This sector will take cyclists to the heart of Beaujolais. Straddling mountains and vineyards, the loops of sector 6 promise all cyclists to find what they are looking for, on loops that are both accessible and difficult.

Tourism side
With its reliefs of hills, its summits covered with forests, Beaujolais can also be discovered by its many hiking trails.
The trail naturally finds its place in the heart of this generous nature whose topography offers real technical attractions for runners.
The hiking and trail running centre, in Monsols, welcome sports enthusiasts to advise them on the 34 marked trails spread over the vineyards but also on the Beaujolais Vert.

Sporty side
This circuit offers the ascent of three passes over a fairly short distance with a moderate drop. This course can be considered relatively easy.
The profile of the circuit is as follows: a 16 km climb with a fairly regular average gradient of 3%, a 2 km descent, a 2.5 km climb at 4% (col du fut d'Avenas), and to complete a 15 km descent.
Circuit accessible to any cyclist with a bit of training.
