On organic winegrowing estate called "le Château de Pravins", at the heart of the Beaujolais region, lovely gîte in a character set of listed buildings. Close to the city of Villefranche/Saône. Owners live on site. The gîte has been laid out using eco-friendly, healthy materials (insulating made of hemp, double glazing). Attractive interior combining period features with modern comfort. Accessed via shared hall (occasionally crossed) with extra facilities (shower room, WC). Ground floor : kitchen with dining area, small shower room/Wc. Upstairs: large mezzanine with lounge area & sleeping area (two 90 X 200 cm beds that can be joined to form double bed), small bedroom (2 single beds that can be joined to form double bed). Interior courtyard with access to the shared laundry room (washing machine). Private terrasse, extensive shaded grounds, wonderful views of the vineyards and the countryside. Parking area. Tasting of estate organic wines can be arranged for those interested.
