“Wine is at first about a terroir; it is also a job, most of all a passion”
From a winegrower family for 5 generations, Lilian MATRAY now works on the family estate accompanied by his wife Sandrine and his daughter Célia.
“First and foremost, wine is a land, it is also a profession - but above all, wine is a passion.”
Following 5 generations before him, Lilian MATRAY today exploits the family domain with his wife, Sandrine, and their daughter Célia.
Situated in Juliénas, a charming little Beaujolais village, the Domaine MATRAY vineyard covers 14 hectares and straddles several districts. The family masters all the tasks associated with the vine: from pruning to wine creation with grapes which are still hand-picked.
Lilian, Sandrine and Célia also pay close attention to their wine sales.
